Time Zone Converter

I don't know why, but apparently Time Zones are a difficult concept to grasp for people on this forum...

Welcome to Keyser's Guide to Time Zones.

The world turns around an axis. This means that it's day on one side of the world when it's night on the other. As a result, we have differnet time zones to account for the fact that sun only shines on half the world at any given time.

The internet can be very useful in finding out what time it is in someone else's time zone.
There is a wonderful tool on the internet called a "search engine". One of the most common ones is called "google".
If you were to take the incredible amount of effort and time that it takes to type in "time zones" into google, you would get the following link

The World Clock - Time Zones Click on it!! Go on, try it!! It doesn't that much effort...

You'll be amazed that you can find out what time it is ANYWHERE in the world!!! As I post this, it is 6:06 PM in Abu Dhabi, 11:36 PM in Adelaide, 8:06 AM in Aklavik, 3:06 PM in Algiers.. etc..etc..

I DON'T WANT TO HAVE ANYONE ELSE SAY THAT THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT TIME IT IS IN MY TIME ZONE!!!!!!! (for those of you tryign to take the course)

P.S. sorry for the sarcasm.. it's just frustrating when every other person says "I dont know what time it is in my time zone, so you, Keyser520, since you have nothing better to do with your time, tell me what time it is where I am (even though I'm not going to tell you where I am), and then tell me what class to go in (so that I can tell you I can't make that class and you should try again), and while you are at it, do this for everyone on the forum"... sigh.. laziness urks me..

lol, thanks Keyser, that really is a lot useful! i was one of the people who were a lot confused 8), this might, err, WILL, help me "unconfuse" myself :P... finally i know what time it is on New Zeland (i live on Portugal, so New Zeland is the furthest place from here

)...

I'm 12 hrs ahead of eastern US, so I use that as a reference. My cellphone also has a World Clock so I use that sometimes to convert time.

i think, when u writhing in which time zone you are, u should write like this:

example: I'm in zone GTM(+1)

Well, I'm glad someone finally put up this issue as people might find this helpful for stuff like Keyser's classes or drop parties/PK trips and such... But yeah, my cell phone also has a time zone converter but it's pretty primitive... But yeah, thanks for putting this up...
